FAQ

Nearly all our customers choose Milgard vinyl or fiberglass frames.

Vinyl. Milgard vinyl frames are energy-efficient, virtually maintenance-free and cost-effective. Offered in four different lines and all common shapes and configurations, Milgard has a vinyl option for every situation. Trinsic Vinyl, which has proven highly popular with our customers, features a narrow frame and comes in eight different exterior colors and four interior colors.

Fiberglass. Exceptionally strong and durable, fiberglass comes at a higher price point than most vinyl, but delivers a top-of-the line look and feel. Its low thermal conductivity makes it highly energy efficient and helps you stay comfortable year-round. Fiberglass is also ‘paintable,’ which means you can change the frame color in the future.

Unless you choose a fixed (picture) window, there are four common choices:

  • Slider (moves left or right on a track)
  • Casement (opens outward with a crank or handle)
  • Awning (swings inward from a hinge on the top)
  • Single- or double-hung (window slides upward within the frame  for single-hung or both up and down in double-hung)
